Our next major exhibition will explore and celebrate farming in the South Hams both in the past and today. Farming has been a vital part of South Hams life for hundreds of years, and continues to shape the landscape today.

OPEN EVENING & BBQ

Museum Lates – open evening and BBQ in the walled garden, with live music.

Come and explore your local museum out of hours – free admission!

6.00pm – 9.00pm.

FAMILY OPEN DAY

Due to Government advice on the Covid-19 virus, our Family Day has had to be POSTPONED. We hope to arrange an alternative date when the current situation improves.

THE NEW JACKET

23 MARCH – 31 OCTOBER 2020

This jacket is a modern recreation of the type of jacket worn by Quakers, including William Cookworthy in his famous portrait.

The jacket was made by seamstress Mary McLellan, who has made costumes for theatrical and historical productions using appropriate materials.

It is now available to view in the ILBERT ROOM.
