The Museum is now closed for the winter, re-opening on Monday 25th March 2019. We are preparing a new exhibition 'All the Fun of the Fair' to celebrate 50 years of Fair Week, and we would welcome your photographs, reminiscences and any small artefacts for display. The Resource Centre remains open all year for personal research.

This is the second year of our exhibition 'William Cookworthy: Pioneer of Porcelain', displaying a new selection of the wonderful Cookworthy porcelain on loan from the Plymouth City Museum during its refurbishment.

Cookworthy's notable contemporaries and acquaintances are also featured. Dr. Samuel Johnson of dictionary fame was one of these, and we are pleased to able to display a first edition of the 'Dictionary' and Dr. Johnson's own walking stick.
