We are all busy spring cleaning and getting the exhibitions ready to re-open on Monday 26th March. NEW display 'Margaret Lorenz: a Head of her Time'; updated with new material 'William Cookworthy' Pioneer of Porcelain'; and lots more to see and do in your local museum.

MUSEUM OPENING Monday 26th March

The Museum is closed at present while preparing for the new season, and will re-open on Monday 26th March.

Special exhibitions

'William Cookworthy: Pioneer of Porcelain' revised and updated display of porcelain for the second year, and highlighting Cookworthy's contemporaries and acquaintances.

'Margaret Lorenz: a Head of her Time' the remarkable local life of the first female head of Kingsbridge School, founder member and long-time chairman of the Museum.

Group tours, talks and outreach can be arranged in or out of season, please contact the Museum on 01548 853235 or if you are interested. The Local Heritage Resource Centre is open all year, other than a short break at Christmas.



Thursday 5th April, 10.30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Come and see us during the Easter holidays for children's activities and craft demonstrations. Make an Easter egg, help out with the rag rug, drawing and dressing up, and all our usual quizzes including a NEW Easter trail. Coffee and home-made cake in the Farm Gallery. Adults £1, children FREE.



Saturday 5th May - Plant Sale in the walled garden

Saturday 19th May - Open Evening & BBQ (Museums at Night)

Saturday 16th/Sunday 17th June - Kingsbridge Open Gardens. The Museum garden will be open on both days.

Saturday 8th September - Heritage Open Days

Tuesday 25th - Sunday 30th September - Museum at Harbour House. 'A Face in the Crowd' - exhibition of photographs and artefacts.

Thursday 25th October - Autumn Family Day

Saturday 28th October - Museums at Night
