Email Enquiries
If you would like information about the Museum or any of our services, please feel free to email us using the form below.
Parking
Charges in the Fore Street car park are currently £1.00 for THREE hours, which gives you plenty of time to explore the top of the town AND visit the Museum. The Fore Street car park is located towards the top of the town, between Tesco and the main street, and can be reached either from Fore Street or Cookworthy Road. The Museum is approximately 100 yards from the top of the car park.
Access
Being a Grade 2* listed building presents some accessibility challenges for the Museum and we are working hard to ensure that this does not have a detrimental impact on your visit. The age and nature of the building means there are uneven floors and steps in places. There is wheelchair access to the ground floor of the museum. However we strongly advise you call in advance as the main entrance is not wheelchair accessible. Buggies and prams can be left on the ground floor.
A location map of the Museum is available HERE.
An access plan of the Museum is available HERE.
A visual guide of the Museum is available HERE.
Please view or download them in advance of your visit.
Large print is available for many of our displays.
Toilets
We have convenient toilets available for use by visitors – one of which (on the Ground Floor) is wheelchair accessible.
Café
Sadly, at present, we do not have a café but there are plenty of nearby cafés serving delicious snacks and drinks. Why not spend some further time in Kingsbridge and enjoy our town?
Shop
Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum has a small shop which sells a range of carefully-curated books, toys and memorabilia – many of which are handmade by our volunteers and exclusive to the Museum. Many items are available to purchase on-line. Please click HERE for further details.
All proceeds of the shop go towards supporting the work of the Museum. Find our how you could support us by clicking HERE.
