Hire the Museum

Why not hire the pretty walled garden at the Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum for your event?  We are able to hire out this delightful space during our open season – and during opening hours.

Our costs are as follows:

  • We charge £40 for either a morning or afternoon session and this includes the use of our tables and chairs (but you will need to set these out and put them away at the end of your event).
  • For £10 you can use our electric urn, kettles and crockery for your catering. You will need to wash up the crockery at the end and provide your own refreshments.
  • Attendees to your event can come into the garden for free but they will need to pay admission to the Museum if they wish to view our collections.

Group visits

We welcome group visits to the Museum during our normal opening hours (10.30am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday) but these should be booked in advance if there are more than 10 of you. Standard entrance costs are £5 whilst we only charge £4 for concessions (over-65s and students) and under-16s are FREE.

Your group is free to explore the Museum at your own pace but we can also offer you guided tours (approximately one hour in length) at the following rates:

  • £25 for your group during opening hours or
  • £40 for after hours (ie: from 3.30pm onwards).

Organised under-18s membership groups

We offer visits and organised tours for under-18s membership groups and charge £2 per child (to include quizzes, games and a present to take home). Accompanying helpers are free.

By coming on a group visit you will be making a valuable donation and will be helping to preserve the contents of the Museum and the collections for years to come.
